Do you really need a reason to celebrate the simple joys in life like the pleasure of great friends and family, delicious food, bubbly wine and champagne, and of course the beautiful city of San Diego as your backdrop? I say enjoy it at every possible opportunity!
This weekend my girlfriends and I got together for an exciting event held in San Diego. It was hosted by the lovely people of Le Diner San Diego. What is that you ask? The concept is simple, "each guest has a hand in creating an unforgettable night in San Diego." and that we did! Le Diner San Diego is a pop up event where thousands of people get together at a secret location (the location is unveiled via e-mail two hours before the event begins, this year it was held at the Broadway Pier), guests are to come dressed in their most stylish white attire, channel their inner interior designer/chef and decorate a beautiful table (in white of course), with their favorite food and wine and enjoy a night out under the stars with old and new friends. It's all about being creative and doing something different and fun!
A group of 12 of my closest friends and I, each having our own hand in bringing items to complete our table, came together to create a fun and fabulous setting with food including pastas, cheese platters, raspberries stuffed with chocolate chips, and fabulous desserts!! We surrounded our table with white daisies, flame less white candles, tall glass decanters for water, and glass centerpieces with clear crystals. It all came together perfectly! Although I will admit, It was fun to walk around and see all the other tables and get ideas for next year. First on the list, a portable heater!!
Knowing the event would most likely be held outside (how could they pass up this gorgeous city view), my girlfriends and I decided to get dolled up and wear white dresses! I'm wearing a white linen dress from H&M, and finished off my look with nude wedges, a chunky gold and pink necklace, gold bracelets and a much too thin nude sweater for when the sun set.
Check out Handmade Events, you never know, they could be hosting a white party in your area!
